We collect information to provide, improve, and personalize the Propel experience. The types of information we collect include:

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo via our authentication provider (Clerk).

Social Media Connection Data

When you connect a social account (e.g., Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram), we store your handle, profile image, and OAuth access tokens required to schedule and publish content on your behalf.

Content You Create

Draft posts, scheduled content, ideas, and any media you upload through Propel are stored securely in our database.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and device/browser information for analytics and performance monitoring.

Payment Information

Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We only receive a tokenized reference from Stripe for subscription management.

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party vendors (e.g., Convex for database, Clerk for authentication, Stripe for billing, Vercel for hosting) who process data on our behalf under strict data agreements.

Social Platforms

When you connect a social account and schedule a post, we share only the necessary content data with that platform's API on your behalf.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you before this occurs.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
